SonShine: Living in the Light

If blogs have to be a certain number of words to be considered an official blog, then I'm about to break the rules.
Today's writing is just a short piece of deliberate encouragement as we journey together to grow our faith and our trust in God.
As you know from reading the deliberate book, God uses a lot of simple things to remind me about the importance of staying focused on him. Yesterday, he used our daylilies.
I love how these flowers, and many others, reach towards the sun when they bloom! I’m reminded that when I’m rooted in good biblical soil and reaching towards God’s Son, that’s when I can really bloom in living out my unique purpose in this season.
Friends, there is life in the Light!
I encourage you to root down, rise up, and shine on. You have an important assignment in this season that's unique to you. Bloom where you're planted, reach for the Light, and trust the Lord for the outcome. God's got it AND he's got you!

Small steps forward: The beauty of nature has a powerful way of reminding us of God's promises and his love for us. Be mindful when you're outdoors this week and allow God to strengthen your spirit as you enjoy the details of his creation.
"I am the Light of the world; he who follows Me will not walk in the darkness,
but will have the Light of life."
John 8:12
